Leonida, the GTA VI map: Vice City and the five other regions
Rockstar has presented six regions for the state of Leonida, from the dense city of Vice City to the swamps of Grassrivers. Here is what each one shows, what you’ll do there according to the videos, and how the site’s interactive map follows you during the game, with more than three thousand places spotted.

Only in Leonida
The six regions presented by Rockstar
On May 6, 2025, with Trailer 2, Rockstar put one page per region online. Here is what they say, and what the site made of them.
The cityVice CityBeaches, shopping districts, cruise port and Downtown skyscrapers: the densest area of Leonida.Open
The archipelagoLeonida KeysIslands linked by long roads above the water, where Jason lives at Brian Heder’s place.Open
The swampsGrassriversThe largest subtropical wilderness in the country, to explore by airboat.Open
The forgotten coastPort GellhornCheap motels, empty malls, closed attractions: a place to lie low.Open
The inlandAmbrosiaThe farming and industrial side, around the sugar refinery and a biker club.Open
The northMount Kalaga National ParkForests, hills, rivers and muddy trails: hunting, fishing and off-roading.Open
Each region page on the site takes up Rockstar’s official presentation, the places named in its texts (Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, Tisha-Wocka and VC Port for Vice City, for example), the characters you meet there and the screenshots where the region appears. Nothing is made up: when a place comes from an identification by players, the page says so with its status. The Places page gathers the six regions.
The city
Vice City, district by district
Rockstar makes it the densest and liveliest area of Leonida. The official screenshots and videos made it possible to recognize its districts.
The site’s neighborhood pages, like Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, Downtown or Southside, say where each name comes from: an official Rockstar text, a sign readable in a screenshot, or an identification by players. The full list is in the index of districts and counties.
For the atmosphere, the journalists who saw the August 2026 demo speak of a city whose size surprises, and of lived-in safehouses rather than mere save points. And Bloomberg’s October 14 investigation recalls the scale of the project: about eight years of work and 4,711 people in twelve offices in August 2026.
During the game
Leonidakit’s interactive map
A map to open on your phone or on a second screen while you play: more than three thousand places spotted, each with its level of certainty.
The site’s map relies on the surveys of the gtadb.org community, published under a CC BY 4.0 license and credited, laid over a base map drawn for the site. Each place carries a status: named by Rockstar, legible on a screenshot, or identified by players. A search, filters by family and a marker per region take you to the right spot in two clicks, and each place has its own page, with its photos when they exist.
What the map deliberately doesn’t do: show a name or an image that came from the leaks. gtadb.org partly relies on them: the markers it only knows from an unofficial capture keep their position, with no in-game name or photo, and stay marked “community reconstruction” until the game lets us check them. To understand how a place is verified, the What’s confirmed page explains the method.
Three uses
Three ways to use the map while playing
Spot a store before walking in
The businesses shown by Rockstar, such as Rideout Customs, Electric Fang Tattoo or Stock 305, have their page and their place on the map. You know where they are before you go.
Check off what you’ve seen
Every place on the map can be marked as visited. Your progress stays in your browser, with no account, and shows up in your trackers, in the site’s six languages.
Official YouTube (Google) player, loaded only after your click: YouTube may then set its own cookies. Legal and privacy
And if you want to practice before release, the Guess the Location game shows you an official screenshot and asks you to place it: a way to memorize the map without noticing.
