Vice City
The capital of sun and excess, far from the ’80s but as hungry as ever.
Vice City brings together beaches, shopping districts, a cruise port and Downtown’s skyscrapers. Rockstar mentions Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, Tisha-Wocka and VC Port, and makes it the densest, liveliest area in Leonida.
Overview
A sprawling metropolis in southern Leonida, Vice City is home to pastel art deco hotels, clubs packed with celebrities and the biggest cruise port in the world. Rockstar presents it as a city where people, from Little Cuba to Tisha-Wocka, are always up for a party. Ocean Beach lines up its white sand and 1930s facades; Downtown raises its towers above the bay; VC Port welcomes the cruise ships. This is where Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest and Real Dimez are building their music empire, between the Jack of Hearts and the Only Raw Records studio. On the map, the city holds most of the spotted places.
In the artwork and in the story
Vice City is the setting of the first two trailers: the beach at Ocean Beach, the Vice Beach pier, the palm-lined avenues and the Sahara Arena tower keep coming back from shot to shot. Official screenshots there show private jets above the giant sign as well as crowds on the sand, motorcycle convoys and night scenes under neon lights. It’s where Boobie Ike built his empire and where Dre’Quan Priest books his club nights.
On the ground
As in every GTA, the big city will pack in shops, workshops, salons and places to go out. On the Leonidakit map, Vice City already holds most of the 3,291 spotted places, from the Downtown towers to the motels on the outskirts; the Rideout Customs, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang and Jack of Hearts pages are linked to it. Exact locations will fill in with the game.
