Money guide

The best business
in GTA VI.

Rockstar has shown workshops, stores and a club, without saying which ones can be bought or what they pay. This page compares them as soon as prices and income are known: the time to break even, and how they stack up against a mission.

The comparison

Leonida’s businesses, price and income

No prices or income have been published, and buying these businesses hasn’t been announced. The columns fill in as soon as a figure is recorded, with its source and date.

What we know

What’s already published about businesses

Three things have been said, by Rockstar or by the press. The rest is waiting for the game.

  • Garages to buy

Rob Nelson (Rockstar North) told Famitsu: garages can be bought. It’s the only purchase of this kind confirmed; no business has been announced for sale.

  • Businesses that have an owner

The official character pages name the Jack of Hearts, Boobie’s club, and Only Raw Records, the Real Dimez’s label.

  • Three Ultimate Edition businesses

Rideout Customs, One-Eyed Willie’s and Stock 305 only open with the Ultimate Edition: you spend money there, you don’t own them.

How to choose

A good business pays for itself fast

A business is worth it if it earns back its price faster than your best missions. Four numbers are enough, and the calculator does the rest.

The price

What the business costs, purchase fees included.

The income

What it pays, brought down to one hour of play.

The time to break even

The price divided by the income per hour. Beyond that, it’s profit.

The comparison

Against your best per-hour earnings from missions: if the mission pays more, keep your money.

What GTA V teaches us, without promising anything

These benchmarks come from GTA V’s story mode. Nothing is confirmed for GTA VI.

  • Businesses for sale on the map

They were marked on the map and bought on site, some reserved for a single character.

  • A profit every week

Most paid out a profit every seven in-game days; others paid per job.

  • Calls you shouldn’t ignore

The management sometimes called the owner for help; ignoring the call lowered that week’s profit.
