Character, GTA VI
Jason Duval
He’d like an easy life; things just keep getting more complicated.
A former soldier raised among grifters, Jason works for traffickers in the Keys, which is what he does best. He’d like an easy life; meeting Lucia is going to complicate everything.
Overview
Jason Duval grew up surrounded by grifters and small-time crooks. He tried the Army to leave his rough teenage years behind, before ending up in the Leonida Keys doing what he does best: working for the local drug runners. Brian Heder lets him live rent-free in one of his properties, as long as he helps out with the area’s strong-arm debt collection and drops by for Lori’s sangria. Rockstar describes him as someone who wants an easy life, but things just keep getting more complicated. Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing that ever happened to him. He’s one of the two playable characters, alongside Lucia.
In the story
In Trailer 2, Jason opens the Keys sequence: a roof to fix, a call from Brian, a debt collection run that goes wrong, then a motorcycle chase on an Avarus and a jet ski getaway with Lucia. Trailer 1 already showed him with her in a room at the Starlet Motel and in a Tulip sedan on the state’s roads. On screen, he’s the action character behind the wheel and on a bike, while Lucia carries the confrontation scenes.
In the screenshots and on the pages
In the official screenshots, Jason shows up behind the wheel, on an Alvino V1 motorcycle, carbine in hand, fishing on a boat, and at a bar counter with Cal. His page is linked to the Dinka Enduro, the Ganado ’70 and the Crest Kayak parked in front of his house, the Girardi ES9 that bears his name, and the Keys safehouses.
