Character, GTA VI
Cal Hampton
What if everything you read online was true?
Jason’s friend and Brian’s associate, Cal feels safest at home, listening in on Coast Guard radio with a few beers and some private browsing tabs open. What if everything you read online was true?
Overview
Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend and Brian Heder’s associate in the Keys. Rockstar describes him as a man who feels safest at home, where he spends his days monitoring Coast Guard frequencies, with a few beers within reach and some private browsing tabs open. He sees conspiracies everywhere, even in flocks of birds that are a little too well lined up, and wonders whether everything you read online might be true. Happy with his lot in the Keys, he doesn’t share Jason’s ambitions. The official screenshots show him at mini golf, at the pool table and on a float in a pool.
In the story
Cal appears in Trailer 2 alongside Jason at Brian’s boatyard, in a floral shirt and sunglasses, as a man who’d rather watch than put himself out there. His official introduction ties him to two worlds: working for Brian, with Jason, and his own universe of forums and radio frequencies. He isn’t announced as playable; he’s part of the Keys circle, the one Jason wants to move beyond.
In the screenshots and on the pages
The official screenshots show him at mini golf, at the pool table and on a float in a pool, always in a floral shirt. His page links to the Keys map, the golf club and pool cue he holds in the images, and Brian Heder, whom he works for with Jason.
