The essentials

Robbing a store is one of the ways to make money in GTA VI: Trailer 1 already shows Jason and Lucia in a liquor store, and the Extended Look runs through gas stations one after another. You can go alone or as a pair, Rob Nelson told Famitsu. Jewelry stores and small banks are better guarded than shops, and breaking the security cameras helps you get away unseen. The loot is then sold to a fence.

What Rockstar has said and shown

  1. Around 1:16, Trailer 1 shows the duo robbing an Uncle Jack’s Liquor store, faces covered, before running off.

  2. The Extended Look strings together gas station robberies, bandanas over faces; around 17:57, Lucia hides her gun behind her back before walking into a store.

  3. Rob Nelson of Rockstar North told Famitsu that you rob a store solo or with the other character, and that jewelry stores and small banks are better guarded than regular stores.

  4. He adds that destroying the security cameras lets you get away without being seen.

  5. A still from the Extended Look shows masked men around an open armored truck; nothing says whether it’s an open-world activity or a story scene.

Where to do it

Rockstar hasn’t published the list of stores you can rob. The only one identified on screen is the Uncle Jack’s Liquor from Trailer 1, which the players’ map places in Port Gellhorn.

What it pays

Cash, and sometimes loot to sell: garages have a stash for stolen goods, which a fence buys for less than they’re worth. Neither what’s in a register nor the discount rate has been published.
