Activities that make money

Robbing a bank, delivering, fishing, racing: here are the activities known so far, what you need before you start and where we saw them. How much does each one pay, and how long does it take? Nobody knows before the game comes out. These numbers will be added row by row with real measurements taken in the game, never with GTA V numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers, in plain words.

Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it’s free, and no, you don’t need an account. Your numbers stay in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere else and nothing is linked to your GTA account.
Are these the real game numbers?
Not yet. GTA VI comes out on November 19, 2026 and Rockstar hasn’t published any in-game prices or mission payouts. The numbers already in the boxes are examples: replace them with your own. As soon as real figures are known and checked, they’ll be added here, with their source. We never use GTA V or GTA Online figures instead.
I don’t know how much I earn per hour. What do I do?
In “My goal”, open “I don’t know how much I earn”. Enter what your last mission paid you and how many minutes it took. The calculator works out your earnings per hour and puts them in the right box.
What’s “the money I set aside”?
It’s an amount you don’t want to spend, for example to pay for ammo or mission fees. The calculator never touches it: it acts as if that money didn’t exist for your purchases. In “My goal” and the business plan, you also choose what “have” means: money available on top of that amount, money in total (including it), or money earned from now on.
Why are play time and the number of days different?
Play time is the total time you spend playing, for example 8 hours. The number of days depends on how much you play each day: 8 hours of play is 8 days if you play 1 hour per day, but 4 days if you play 2 hours.
What does “paid back” mean?
A purchase is paid back when it has earned you as much money as it cost you. Example: you pay $500,000 and it earns you $75,000 per hour, after all fees. It’s paid back after 6 h 40 of play. After that, everything it earns is a bonus.
How do I find my calculation later?
Give it a name and click “☆ Save”: it goes into “My saved calculations”, on this device. The “My calculations” button, at the top of the workspace, shows them all. “Share” copies a link that reopens the same calculation for a friend. You can also download a file and reopen it on another device.
Does an unfinished mission count?
No. The calculator only counts finished missions, because you get paid at the end. If a mission takes 46 minutes and you have 45 minutes, it doesn’t go into your schedule.
What does “What counts in this calculation” show?
Under each answer, this block says what the calculation is looking for and over what period, the required conditions (✓ met, ✗ not met, ? unknown, ≈ your assumption), the numbers used and where they come from, what really decides the answer, what could change it, and the criteria left out with the reason why. A condition that isn’t met is never made up for by a good number elsewhere.
Why are fuel and maintenance “to be confirmed”?
Rockstar hasn’t published anything yet about fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance, resale or ammo in GTA VI. An unknown cost is never counted as 0: it’s marked “to be confirmed”. You can enter your own number or, in Expert mode, choose a simulation you set up yourself; it’s then flagged as a simulation everywhere it counts.
I don’t play in sessions. Does the business plan still work?
Yes. Leave “A session lasts” empty: the plan gives you a path in play time, step by step (purchases, unlock missions, repeated missions), showing when your money is at its lowest. There are no dates then, since nothing says when you play. Enter the duration of a session to get the session-by-session schedule and your days.
A link changed my calculation. Did I lose it?
No. When a link (from a page, the Tutorial or a friend) changes the numbers in a calculation you already had, a copy of your previous calculation is kept in “My calculations”. A banner also lets you go back to it in one click.

Tricky words, explained simply

Capital
The money you have right now. Here we call it “I already have”.
Fees
What you have to pay to do a mission: ammo, gear, your crew’s share.
Net earnings, or profit
What you have left once you’ve paid your fees. A $100,000 reward with $20,000 in fees: your earnings are $80,000.
Investment
A purchase you make to earn more money later, like a business.
Break-even
The point where a purchase is paid back: it has made you as much as it cost you.
ROI
What a purchase has earned you, as a percentage of its price. 0% means paid back, 100% means it has made back twice its price.
Reserve
The money you set aside and don’t spend.
Cooldown time
How long a mission stays unavailable after you’ve done it.
Running cost
What a purchase keeps costing you while you use it: fuel, maintenance, ammo… Not known yet in GTA VI: it’s your number or a simulation.
Full cost
The price, plus the running cost over the number of sessions you entered, minus a resale value if you enter one.
Requirements
What you need to have or have done first: a vehicle for a mission, an unlock mission before another one.
Low point
The moment in your path when you have the least money left, after a purchase or fees.
